Our Impact
We do not measure our success by the number of projects we implement, but by the number of lives changed, capacities built, and dignity restored. Since our beginning as a mothers' initiative in Aida Camp until today, our question has remained the same: has the person we reached become more capable, more independent, and more present in their community?
How We Measure Our Impact
We believe that real impact cannot be reduced to a number; that's why we measure it on three integrated levels:
- Reach — How many people's lives have we touched, including children with disabilities and their mothers, women and girls, and university-age youth.
- Change — What has actually improved: a motor skill regained, a family's income stabilized, a child enrolled in school, a woman who came to know her rights and claimed them.
- Sustainability — Does the impact endure after the intervention ends? We build local capacities and lasting skills, not aid that ends when the project ends.
Numbers That Tell Our Story
Beneficiaries over the past two years:
- Children with disabilities who received rehabilitation services: more than 450.
- Mothers who benefited from economic empowerment programs: more than 120.
- University trainees who received vocational training: more than 60.
Geographic distribution of beneficiaries:
- Bethlehem city: 45%.
- Aida Camp: 30%.
- Azza Camp and surrounding areas: 25%.
Dimensions of Our Impact
- Comprehensive Rehabilitation — Multidisciplinary services that strengthen the independence of children and people with disabilities and their integration into daily and educational life.
- Psychosocial Support — Accompaniment for beneficiaries and their families that eases the impact of trauma and accumulated pressures in the camp environment, and builds resilience.
- Economic Empowerment — Opportunities for dignified, sustainable income for mothers and caregivers through the productive kitchen — when the family is economically stable, the child with disability thrives.
- Protection and Rights — Protection of women and girls with disabilities from violence and exclusion, through clear protection and referral mechanisms and rights awareness programs.
Expanding Impact: Our Flagship Protection Project
Building on our commitment to the most marginalized groups, we have entered a new phase through the project "Enhancing the Protection, Resilience, and Rights of Marginalized Women and Girls with Disabilities in Aida Camp," a four-year project supported by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. This project expands our protection and resilience services and affirms international partners' confidence in our institutional capacity to manage quality programs to global standards.
Transparency and Accountability Are the Foundation of Our Trust
- Independent annual financial audit of our accounts.
- Approved policies and mechanisms for Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and a clear complaints and referral mechanism.
- Honest and accurate reports to all our partners and community, committed to telling the truth as it is.
From Numbers to Human Impact
Behind every number on this page is a story: a child who took their first step, a mother who opened her small business, a girl who learned that she has a voice and a right. These stories are our truest measure. We invite you to read our beneficiaries' success stories.
